Our Thornton Office

## One office, two schedules.

The Redpoint Center's Thornton office sits on Grant Street at the north end of the Denver metro, bringing substance use and mental health treatment to Adams County and the suburbs around it. It is our newest office and our only one inside the metro, which is rather the point: for a lot of families here, the nearest outpatient program used to mean a drive down I-25 and back through rush hour.

Thornton is a diverse, fast-growing part of Colorado, and the office is built to fit it rather than the other way around. Adults attend [intensive outpatient](/iop-intensive-outpatient-programs) here in the evening, after the workday. Teens attend a [partial hospitalization](/php-partial-hospitalization-programs) day program or intensive outpatient. Same building, same clinical standards, two schedules built so that treatment does not cost someone a job or a school year.

That is what accessible care means to us in practice, and it matters most for the people who have run into a barrier before: the wrong hours, the wrong side of the metro, a program that treated a mental health condition and a substance use problem as two separate appointments. Our clinicians here treat them together, work with families rather than around them, and take trauma seriously as part of the picture rather than a topic for later.

Before You Call

## Questions about our Thornton office, answered.

### Where is The Redpoint Center's Thornton office?

Our Thornton office is at 9025 Grant St, Suite 100, Thornton, CO 80229, just off Grant Street at the north end of the Denver metro. You can reach the team at (303) 219-0973 or text (970) 475-8646.

### What levels of care does the Thornton office offer?

Two tracks run at this office. Adults attend [intensive outpatient (IOP)](/iop-intensive-outpatient-programs) in the evening, and teens attend [partial hospitalization (PHP)](/php-partial-hospitalization-programs) or intensive outpatient. Both include individual therapy, group therapy, family support and education, and treatment for co-occurring disorders. Redpoint's statewide [virtual IOP](/virtual-iop) is available when getting to an office is difficult, and adult [outpatient care](/outpatient-treatment-program) is delivered virtually rather than at a specific site. Intensive outpatient sits in the middle of the [continuum of care](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK64088/): more support than a weekly therapy hour, without living at a facility.

### Is the Thornton IOP in the evening?

Yes. The adult intensive outpatient track in Thornton runs in the evening, after the standard workday. Every Redpoint office runs an [evening IOP](/evening-iop-intensive-outpatient-program), and at some of them, including this one, evening is the schedule rather than one option among several. Start times depend on the group you join, so call (303) 219-0973 and admissions will tell you the current times before you commit to anything.

### Do you treat teenagers at the Thornton office?

Yes. Thornton runs partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents, led by clinicians whose roles at this office are dedicated to teens and families. Parents often ask how to tell an ordinary rough patch from something that needs treatment, and the National Institute of Mental Health frames it usefully: pay attention when the behavior [lasts weeks or months and interferes with daily life](https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/child-and-adolescent-mental-health) at home, at school, or with friends. If you are not sure, call us. A free assessment is a reasonable way to find out, and we will say so plainly if your teen does not need this level of care.

### Do you have an office in Denver?

Redpoint does not have a Denver office. Thornton is the closest one and it is built for the northern metro, roughly fifteen minutes up I-25 from downtown outside of rush hour. Our [Boulder](/locations/boulder-mental-health) and [Longmont](/locations/longmont-mental-health) offices serve the northwest suburbs, and [virtual IOP](/virtual-iop) delivers the same intensive outpatient program by secure video to anyone living in Colorado.

### Which communities near Thornton do you serve?

The Thornton office serves Thornton and the surrounding Adams County and northern Denver metro communities, including Northglenn, Westminster, Federal Heights, Commerce City, Brighton, Henderson, and Welby, along with Broomfield, Arvada, and Lafayette to the west. See [all of our Colorado offices](/locations) if another location is closer.

### Do you treat mental health and addiction at the same time in Thornton?

Yes, and that is the design rather than a bonus. Substance use and conditions like [anxiety, depression, and trauma](/colorado-addiction-treatment/mental-health) are treated in one plan by one team, which is what the National Institute of Mental Health describes as [integrated care](https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/substance-use-and-mental-health): mental health and substance use treatment combined so care is coordinated in one place instead of split across providers who never speak. Read more about our approach to [dual diagnosis treatment](/colorado-addiction-treatment/dual-diagnosis), or see everything we treat across [Colorado](/colorado-addiction-treatment).

### Does insurance cover treatment, and what does it cost?

The Redpoint Center accepts most major insurance plans, and our team verifies your benefits at no cost before you commit to anything. If you are uninsured or underinsured, Colorado's Behavioral Health Administration can [connect you with help](https://bha.colorado.gov/help/get-help-mental-health-drugs-or-alcohol) across the state, including services available regardless of ability to pay.
